Welcome to Don't Let Go, a DIV layout featuring Hiroki Kamijou and Nowaki Kusama from the BL manga series Junjou Romantica (although their story is the Junjou Egoist story) by Shungiku Nakamura. This layout features a variety of colors, one default Photoshop brush (for the border) and images taken by me with my little sister's digital camera (as the texture). The text on the banner and footer are lyrics from the Junjou Romantica anime opening theme song Kimi = Hana, which is performed by Pigstar and written by Tomonori Sekiguchi.

Wednesday, May 07, 2008Hm well, quite honestly, I sat around with this image open in Photoshop a few days ago and attempted to make something but literally failed. I reopened the picture today and sat around staring at it for about an hour before I started playing around with it. Sadly, the first thing I did (without much consideration), was rotate it. With that, I think I was finally able to piece together the design and how I wanted it to look. The fonts featured on this design are Violation and Lane Narrow, both downloded from DaFont.com.
The designing phase in Photoshop took approximately two to three hours, with the border and background pattern (in my resolution anyway) being a pain in the behind for me. I also wanted to try using the photos I took a few weeks back when it was snowing, so this design has a bit more of a personal touch, in a sense. The coding of this design took approximately another three to five hours, as unlike my usual style, I coded the entire thing from scratch (HTML and CSS). Heh, I figured it was about time I typed it up freehand rather than copy and paste then customizing (which I admit to doing from time to time).
Series Information
Nowaki & Hiroki (Egoist)
Nowaki and Hiroki is the second set of main characters from Shungiku-sensei's manga Junjou Romantica with the story title Junjou Egoist. Ultimately, these two are my favorite pair in the series, as Hiroki's pridefulness and Nowaki's insecurity is a lot cuter than Usami's pervertedness and Misaki's innocence. I think their story touches the heart more, so I adore them to bits and in dedication to the recently released anime for this series, I give you this lovely layout!
Usami & Misaki (romantica)
Akihiko Usami (often referred to as Usagi-san) and Misaki Takahashi are the two actual main characters from the series entitled Junjou Romantica Their story is freakishly adorable and funtastic to keep up with, but it's not as heartwarming (in my opinion anyway) as Nowaki and Hiroki's story. It's still definitely a fun read though, as when there's Usami and Misaki, there's bound to be plenty of groping and love.
