Welcome

Being with you made me feel like I had a ♥

Welcome to Hearts of Nobodies, another purely DIV/CSS design featuring the ever wonderful pairing of Akuroku from the infamous video game series Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days as released by Square Enix and Disney. This design is another attempt at the style I tried on Tempest of Conviction. In this design, you'll find a color I hardly ever use, yellow. I actually feel awkward using it too, but it just kind of matched best.

Subject of Update

Akuroku { Waiting For You }

This is an example of how your update would look like, if you use it anyway. After about two hours of going through different shades of red, yellow and blue, it just looked best this way. This is probably why I usually don't work to well with yellow. It generally ends up looking strange to me, or I end up using a darker, poop-colored yellow. Thankfully, it isn't the latter in this case.

Along with the text color for the update box, I had a somewhat difficult time in choosing the border and background colors as well. I wanted something that blended in a bit with the original background image, but not something completely unnoticeable. I think I managed to achieve it? Lol.

This here is an example of how the blockquote will look inside of the updates box. It's a very basic design, I know. But I quite like the simple look and feel of a blockquote.

Anyway, the top banner took approximately four hours to design. It went through a lot of trial and error, mostly with patterns and textures. The colors kind of just stuck with the first try, which is rare for me. Coding the design, on the other hand, took about another four hours, in the span of two days, to complete. This was where I had the most problems with color too. I tried a very light red (pink I suppose) color for the main text, but it just turned out horribly. However, that color just wouldn't work for the update box, so I was kind of stuck.

Code Snippet Samples

Finally, here are some code samples for you. There's nothing too fancy, but a lot of thought have been put into each code's customization to this layout. Bold. Strong. Italic. Anchor Links.

  • Unordered List Item One
  • Unordered List Item Two
  1. Ordered List Item One
  2. Ordered List Item Two

Haha, well, being lazy and all, I threw the ordered and unordered lists into the blockquote. In the end, it looks like that, minus the blockquote box.
