Well now, this layout features Luke and Asche of Tales of the Abyss, two chracters who I like separately more than I do together. I initially found the image on AnimePaper and knew I wanted to make a wallpaper with it. After the wallpaper was completed, I had written out the instructions to my contest and decided I could use this design as a sample of what an entry for my contest would look like. So, this is a design featuring something like an analogous color scheme (red, red orange, orange). The color excluded from the design is blue. It may not make much sense, but for once, I've refrained from using any kind of blue coloring over the image as well (which is how I've decided to exclude it from the design). It's an interesting twist to excluding a color from a design, I guess.

Anyway, this design is a two column DIV design with only one image (the banner). Everything else was designed via CSS. It took several days to complete, but that's mostly because of me being picky about the colors. Red and orange are rather difficult colors to work with. But, to bring it a little closer to something I'd do, I added in plenty of black with a little white and gray as well. It's not a graphically heavy design, but overall, I'm quite satisfied.
